Where to Find Canadian Sleeping Barrels
The maximum size for an auxiliary building is 10 sm or about 100 sf without requiring a permit and inspection. It can be any length and width that does not exceed that floor area. If those are outside dimensions (not interior) then yes, no permit is required.

A private overnight rental in the Courtenay area
Or you could stop in to our showroom and actually sit in the one on our deck. This boasts a king-size bed, a mini wood stove that will take a 7″ log, mini fridge with Keurig coffee maker.

Will take a 7″ log and has a glass door so you get the flicker of the flame at night. Eco-fan will blow the heat around so no need for electricity. Ask to see our mini roaster. It sits on top of the stove so you can roast a chicken or piece of beef or bake a loaf of bread.

We now offer a combination barrel sauna / sleeping barrel thanks to our newest client.
It is a barrel sauna with electric heater and benches on both sides, however when company arrives, the center insert is taken from storage and placed in the center making the sauna into a sleeping platform. If the guest gets cold, they simply turn the electric sauna heater on low.
